Triple Chocolate Frosted Brownies
Ingredients
For Brownies
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate (melted)
- 3/4 cup butter (1 1/2 sticks, unsalted)
- 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
For Frosting
- 3/4 cup Belfonte Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Directions
For Brownies
- Pre-heat your oven to 325 degrees and line a 9 by 13 inch pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl add your brown sugar, sugar and eggs and whisk until super frothy.
- In a large measuring cup add one cup of chocolate chips and your butter and melt. Whisk together and then add to egg sugar mixture.
- Add in vanilla extract and mix again.
- Next, add your salt, flour and cocoa powder and fold together until just combined.
- Pour in remaining ½ cup chocolate chips.
- Transfer your batter into your 9 by 13 baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake at 325 degrees for about 25 minutes until edges start to set and a knife comes out without any wet batter. (a few crumbs are ok)
- Let cool.
For Frosting
- In a large measuring cup, heat up your Belfonte heavy whipping cream for about a minute and then slowly add your chocolate and let set for a few minutes to melt.
- Stir until it comes together. It takes a minute so trust the process and keep stirring.
- If your mixture is too liquidy add more chocolate and vise versa if its too thick.
- Let chill.
- Once your ganache is slightly cooled, pour it into a bowl and whip it up until fluffy.
- Pour over your cooled off brownies and spread evenly with a spatula.
- Let cool and set in the refrigerator for a few more minutes and then cut into squares and enjoy!!
