Apple Pie Cobbler Bars

Ingredients:

Belfonte Vanilla Ice Cream

Crust:
1/2 cup butter (one stick)
1/2 cup sugar
pinch of salt
dash of vanilla
1 cup flour

Apple mixture:
6 Granny Smith apples (sliced)
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tbsp lemon juice

Crumble topping:
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar 1 cup oats
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup butter (1 stick, cold, cubed)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

Crust:
In a bowl add your butter, sugar and vanilla extract and mix until combined. Next add your salt and flour and stir until dough forms. Spread it out in a greased 9 by 13 inch baking dish. Bake in a 350° oven for 15 minutes.

Apple Mixture:
Cut your apples into slices or cubes. Stir them together with your flour, cornstarch, sugar, lemon juice and spices until the apples are coated. Evenly, place into your dish on top of the crust.

Crumble:
To make the crumble topping, add your brown sugar, oats, flour, and spices to a bowl and stir until combined. Add your vanilla and cubed butter and use a pastry dough cutter or your hands to combine everything together until it’s a crumbly mixture. Place that on on top of your dish with the crust and apples and try to get all the apples covered.

Bake at 375° for around 45 minutes or until apples are soft, remove from oven and allow time to cool before cutting into bars or scooping out. Top with Belfonte Vanilla ice cream and sprinkle of cinnamon!! Share and Enjoy!
